Community Medical Services is a rapidly growing company with room for advancement. We currently have several locations in four states that provide substance use disorder and behavioral services in the form of counseling and medication assisted treatment to clients with opioid use disorder.

As a full-time Community Programs & Integration Manager with Community Medical Services you will be responsible for providing direction, training, management, oversight and support to all patients involved with the criminal justice system including probation, drug court, jail and prison. You will also ovesee groups at all Arizona locations, verify maintenance of accurate documentation and required reports, and manage documentation related to groups, correctional health, and criminal justice patients.

In addition, you are responsible for interfacing with community systems in the geographic location. This will be done by collaborating with community partners and the criminal justice system. You will work with patients within the Correctional Health Systems, maintain compliance for documentation related to correctional health and criminal justice patients, work with developing and maintaining community relations and community partners, maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and community relations. You will also coordinate, facilitate, and foster communication when developing agency relationships with community partners, including Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) relationships in regions where they exist. Lastly you will support the development and implementation of programs. 


Provides new employee and ongoing training for staff providing groups or for staff that are overseeing patients involved in the correctional health, Department of Child Services or criminal justice system.

  • This position will be responsible for the outreach and development of system partner relationships related to the grant, including the supervision of the Correctional Health Liaison and Peer Support providing community-based services (i.e. Drug Court, jail in-reach, DOC programs, and DCS cases).
  • The Systems Partner Programs Manager as the direct contact for all providers and staff working with patients receiving services from the correctional health system and Community Medical Services. Coordinates all patient entrances, transfers and discharges between CMS and all correctional health settings. Provides coordination of care, follow up, direction and assistance for all stages of treatment for patients involved in the correctional health system.
  • Acts as a systems navigator through the correctional health system including drug court and Department of Child Safety. Negotiates and advocates for patient concerns during court and probation proceedings.  Provides case management while negotiating and working in partnership with probation officers, judges, drug court staff or other correctional health employees. Networks with court agency partners and mutual treatment providers regarding patient and court specific information.
  • Attends meetings and interfaces with significant team members related to improvement of coordination of care for OTP patients. Responsible for building and being the integral contact for coordination of care between OTP patients and community agencies related to probation, drug court, family court and DCS.
  • Develops group organization, procedures and polices related to documentation and structure for all groups at CMS. Provides clinical oversight and assistance for all staff that are providing group services. Responsible for oversight of patient records involved with group patient documentation. Provides oversight, structure, policies and procedures related to group.
  • Supports program development and implementation. Works with project and program management team.
  • Maintains Community Relations documentation/ log for all contracts, meetings, conversations, presentations and other outreach activities. Maintains appropriate documentation of coordination of care efforts.



  • Required sensitivity to individuals receiving and seeking treatment for substance use or behavioral health disorders
  • Ability to participate as an effective and efficient team member.
  • Culturally competent and sensitive to patient individualized treatment needs
  • Ability to interact with patients in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.
  • Aptitude in resolving patient altercations and managing crisis episodes.
  • Proficient in to identifying and accessing community resources.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively between all organizational levels, with outside providers and contractors.


  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, behavioral health, or related field
  • Ability to interact and develop a team environment
  • Basic computer knowledge is necessary and capability of keeping accurate patient files and reports
  • Behavioral Health Technician as described in A.A.C. that also meets the credentialing and privileging requirements set forth by ADHS/DBHS Provider Manual, Section 3.20.
  • Ability to travel- including all Arizona CMS locations
  • Familiarity with Opioid Treatment is preferred
  • Experience collaborating with or working within correctional health or criminal justice settings is preferred
