Community Medical Services is a rapidly growing company with room for advancement. We currently have several locations in four states that provide opioid use disorder treatment and behavioral services in the form of medication assisted treatment.  

As the Regional Nursing Manager for Community Medical Services you will be responsible for: 

  • Providing direction, training, management, oversight, and support to nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists at all Maricopa County Community Medical Services locations  
  • Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff.
  • Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results.
  • Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from other health care professionals.
  • Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
  • Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.
  • Keeping track of the trends in information obtained through performance improvement activities and use the information gained for quality improvement 
  • Formulating flexible staffing plans to ensure the department operates within budgetary staffing and expense guidelines 
  • Actively participating in strategic planning for the Nursing Department. 
  • Actively participating in performance improvement activity requirements of accreditation, licensure, funding and administration. 
  • Providing in-services, education and supervision to staff as needed to ensure good patient care 
  • Providing direct supervision of staff as assigned.   
  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines including medical, counseling, nursing, and administrative  
  • Ensuring nursing and pharmacy services are provided in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations 
  • Maintaining compliance with DEA regulations 


Minimum education and/or experience: 

  • Associates or bachelor's Degree in nursing 
  • 1-3 of experience in assessing and treating patients with opioid use disorder  
  • 1-3 of supervisory and/or administrative experience required 
  • Currently licensed in the State of Arizona 
  • 1-3 of experience in both medical and psychiatric nursing with a working knowledge of behavioral treatment.  
  • Experience in medication assisted treatment preferred

  • Must be available to work (24/7 responsibility), either in person or telephonically. 
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. 
  • Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft office 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
